JN! RETREAT – Oct 7-8. You can come late or leave early if you have to. We’d rather have you for some of it than none of it. We’ll be in Bethesda. It’s a great time to get to know new people, sing lots and eat bunches. You’ll spend the night with your friends in the homes of the congregation of Bethesda UMC and then we’ll sing for their worship services on Sunday. Spaghetti Dinner September 29th 5-8pm: Bring your family for a great meal and join our efforts in supporting Shepherd’s Table provide for the homeless of Montgomery County! If you are a youth and would like to help serve at this event please contact Katie Young.
Walk for the Homeless October 1st: Yes, you can register the day of the event! OEUMC Youth Ministry is sponsoring the Walk for the Homeless on October 1st at 12:30 pm in our Oakdale parking lot. Anyone can walk no matter how old you are! Registration is $15 for those age 25 years and younger and $20 for those age 25 years and older. All proceeds go to Shepherd’s Table in their daily service of feeding and helping the homeless of Montgomery County.
Gulf Coast Mission Trip Meeting October 1st: 10:45 am in the Chapel. This is an informational meeting for parents and youth (currently in grades 7th-12th) who are interested in serving to and with people in Mississippi affected by Hurricane Katrina. Trip dates are July 7th-13th 2007. It’s purely to learn more about the trip, so if you’re thinking about it, but not sure, just come!
