Joyful Noise! is the 80-voice youth choir from Olney, Maryland, which, under the direction of Tom and Becki Price, specializes in contemporary Christian and Gospel music. The choir is open to youth in grades 7-12 regardless of religious affiliation or musical ability.The choir’s success is attributable to the power of prayer and a view of worship as being exciting, personal and even fun. The choir is continually rededicated to the glory of God and committed to child development at home and around the world.
We are called to strategically reach out in Jesus’ name. By holding prayer meetings, workshops and concerts with other churches’ youth and youth leaders, we hope to start a spark in other youth programs that will be fanned into flame by the Holy Spirit.
The choir actively supports the ministry of Compassion International by seeking sponsorships for impoverished children around the world. As of now the choir has enrolled nearly 700 sponsorships including three children that the choir directly sponsors.
Tom and Becki Price founded Joyful Noise! in 1993 . They bring an extensive background in professional music and theatre to their work with youth. Becki has degrees from Bowling Green State University in Musical Theatre and Dance. Tom received his degrees from Trenton State College in Music Education, Theatre / Communications and English. In addition to Joyful Noise!, Tom and Becki direct the Joyful Noise! Band, and the Oakdale Boys.
